Full Job Description

Quality Assurance Billing Auditor – Medical Day Case Management

Total Care Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Billing Auditor to support our Medical Day Case Management (MDC) Program.

This is a non-billable Quality Assurance position with no productivity requirement. The primary focus is ensuring billing accuracy, documentation quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Work Setting: Primarily Remote with occasional onsite meetings/projects

What You'll Do

Conduct daily and weekly audits of billing and case management documentation.
Review Case Manager activity notes before submission for Maryland Department of Health (MDH) reimbursement.
Complete EVS eligibility verification reviews.
Identify documentation errors, billing discrepancies, and compliance concerns.
Provide feedback and guidance to Case Managers to improve documentation and billing accuracy.
Track audit findings, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
Support quality improvement initiatives and corrective action plans.
Maintain knowledge of MDH, LTSS, and internal billing requirements.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in case management, billing, or quality assurance within healthcare or human services.
Experience with LTSS and MDH processes strongly preferred.
Knowledge of billing compliance and documentation standards.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
