Juicer Job Summary
The Juicer position is the life blood of our operation at Channel Islands Juice Company. The juicer is directly responsible for making the quality products that we sell to our customers. In addition to producing food and juice for the store, the juicer is there to assist the juicerista in making smoothies, food, and acai bowls when needed. The primary expectation of this role is that you work safely, efficiently, and expeditiously. This is a flow state position meaning that you should be on your feet and moving from the time that you arrive until the time that you leave. You will receive one 10-15 minute break per shift.

Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
-Prepare smoothies, acai bowls, avocado toast, chi seed pudding, and energy bites.
-Operate equipment safely and efficiently and use care when handling knives and glass.
Inventory management:
-Stock, replenish, and organize produce and ingredients in back of house
-Order produce from vendors as needed via ordering guidelines
Juice Preparation:
-Chop produce
-Make juice and immunity shots
-Operate Juicer, blenders, and food processor safely and efficiently and use care when handling knives and glass.
-Make nut mylks via nut mylk maker and strainer bags
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
-Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and dining areas.
-Follow health and safety regulations, ensuring food safety standards are met.
-Wash bottles, caps, and dishes properly and consistently
-Maintain and reset back of house via juicer checklist
Team Collaboration:
-Work as part of a team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Communicate respectfully and proactively with management and fellow crew members.
-Assist in training new staff on food making techniques and best practices
Qualifications:
-Previous experience in a restaurant / kitchen preferred.
-Up-to-date certifications on all required compliance training within 30 days of hire.
-Chopping and knife sharpening skills
-Strong work ethic
-Ability to lift cases up to 40lbs
-Ability to thrive in a team environment
-Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
-Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education:
-Food safety and other company and industry specific certifications are required

Key Performance Indicators:
-Number of juice varietals made per day
-Ability to determine which products/ juices need to be made in addition to juicing schedule
-Daily completion of juicer checklists
-Average time taken make products/ juice (roughly 25 minutes per juice).
-Correct dating of food and juice products
-Proper cleaning of bottles and caps and dishes
-Ability to maintain an organized kitchen
-Adherence to sanitation standards and frequency of cleaning.
-How well the Juicer works with other staff and management, including during busy periods.
-Ability to track and report low stock or any shortages in a timely manner.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
