Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Procurement & Production Scheduling Coordinator to oversee production scheduling, purchasing, and inventory planning within our manufacturing facility.
This role is responsible for maintaining production schedules, ensuring raw materials are available to support production, coordinating with suppliers, and helping maintain appropriate inventory levels. The position works closely with production, warehouse, quality, and management teams to ensure customer orders are produced and shipped on time. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with data and spreadsheets, and technology-forward with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment and software issues when needed. This is a practical, floor-based position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where communication, teamwork, and problem-solving are critical.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute purchasing of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods required to support production schedules

Requirements

Experience in a manufacturing environment (production planning, scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, operations, or similar)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and data analysis
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Good communication skills and ability to work with different departments and suppliers
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Technology-forward mindset with the ability to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Experience with ERP systems is preferred
Experience with purchasing, production scheduling, supply chain, or inventory planning is preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required for qualified candidates

Create and manage purchase orders
Communicate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, order status, and delivery schedules
Follow up on open purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
Coordinate inbound shipments and resolve supplier delivery issues
Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and purchasing records
Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules
Monitor customer orders, forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to ensure on-time fulfillment
Review open orders and adjust schedules as priorities change
Coordinate production schedules with manufacturing, warehouse, customer service, and management teams
Track production performance and update schedules based on actual output
Maintain production planning reports, schedules, and related data
Monitor inventory levels and material usage to support production requirements
Review forecasts, usage trends, and inventory reports to determine replenishment needs
Help maintain appropriate inventory levels while minimizing excess inventory
Assist with inventory reporting, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy initiatives
Troubleshoot basic technology and equipment issues, including label printers, case printers, scanners, PCs, and other production support equipment
Assist with ERP system maintenance, data accuracy, and operational troubleshooting
