Job Title: Part Time/Full Time Instructor

Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of a Music Program Instructor is to deliver high quality music programming services to people of all abilities and skill levels, including those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Instructors exemplify Blue Light’s core values and mission statement in a positive and proactive way.
Instructor Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be flexible with scheduling and available to work at any Blue Light locations including: Blackwood, Mt. Holly, on-site at student/client locations, fully virtual, or a combination thereof.
- Be punctual and prepared.
- Creatively engage, instruct, and interact with students during music program sessions.
- Follow and maintain session procedures including health/safety protocols.
- Complete session documentation and portfolio updates for each student immediately following each session.
- Communicate and collaborate with other team members to provide the best possible student experience.
- Communicate and collaborate with the students' stakeholders to identify and facilitate the best possible program experience.
- Communicate with administrators in a timely manner.
- Be mindful of opportunities to expand the program’s reach and coordinate with supervisors to explore those opportunities.
- Participate in meetings and present information for the purposes of improving program services and operations.
- Demonstrate willingness to grow and take on additional responsibilities.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure facilities are safe, clean and accessible.
Instructor Minimum Requirements:
- Must play at least one musical instrument
- Must be familiar with digital audio workstations such as Pro Tools, Logic, or Ableton
- Must have a basic skill set in audio recording and music production
- Must have strong computer and technology skills
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salaried position based on a 40 hour work week with the possibility for supplemental earning opportunities

- Access is granted to all Blue Light studio locations and equipment when scheduling permits personal use.
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15.0 – 30.0 per week
