Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to continue the legacy that is Cricket's Drafthouse in Waco. We have been the coming of age Restaurant for most local students and we want to continue to be a memory making place for the next generation of the Waco community too. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food and beverage industry, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring efficient operations, and creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Duties

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards
Manage staff recruitment, training, and development to foster a skilled and motivated team
Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and optimize stock levels
Handle cash management and POS transactions accurately, utilizing systems such as Toast
Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and ensure proper food handling practices
Develop and manage budgets, forecasting sales and controlling costs effectively
Supervise kitchen management to ensure high-quality food production and presentation
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly
Coordinate shift management to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak hours
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff
Collaborate on Marketing and implementation of theme nights and special events that drive business and culture

Skills

Proven experience in restaurant management or similar roles within the food service industry
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and culinary practices
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and point-of-sale systems (Aloha POS, Toast)
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
Effective communication skills for interacting with staff, guests, and vendors
Experience in inventory control and budgeting within a restaurant setting
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
Background in Full service dining environments is preferred
Ability to train staff on operational procedures, customer service standards, and food safety protocols
