Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental Sales Specialist to drive sales growth and expand our presence in the environmental, tree care, and forestry markets. This role focuses on selling heavy equipment solutions—to customers in forestry, recycling, waste management, land clearing, tree care, and municipal sectors.

You’ll be the go‑to subject matter expert helping customers choose the right equipment to improve productivity, meet environmental goals, and operate more efficiently.

Role: Environmental Sales Specialist

Location: Location: Remote and travel up to 80%

Salary: $90,000-$100,000

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow equipment sales within the environmental, forestry, recycling, tree care, and government markets.

· Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities with contractors, municipalities, recyclers, land‑clearing companies, and environmental service providers.

· Conduct on‑site equipment demonstrations as well as equipment start ups.

· Provide technical guidance to customers on equipment capabilities, applications, and best‑fit solutions.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, and industry partners.

· Prepare detailed proposals, quotes, and equipment packages tailored to customer needs.

· Collaborate with service, engineering, and product support teams to ensure accurate specifications and smooth delivery.

· Stay current on industry trends, environmental regulations, and competitive equipment offerings.

· Represent the company at trade shows, field days, and industry events.

· Track sales activities, forecasts, and customer interactions using CRM tools.

Qualifications

· Proven experience in heavy equipment sales, industrial equipment sales, or environmental machinery sales.

· Strong understanding of equipment used in forestry, land clearing, recycling, composting, tree care, or waste processing.

· Ability to explain technical equipment features and match them to customer applications.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.

· Self‑driven, organized, and comfortable managing a territory with regular travel.

· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer sites.

Preferred Skills

Experience selling or working with equipment such as:

· Brush chippers

· Forestry mulchers

· High‑speed grinders

· Slow‑speed shredders

· Trommel screens

· Screening plants or composting equipment

· Knowledge of environmental regulations, biomass processing, recycling operations, or land‑management practices.

· Mechanical aptitude and comfort discussing equipment maintenance and performance.
