Location: This is an on-site position based in Poughkeepsie, New York. Join a collaborative office environment where you'll work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and title companies to keep transactions moving efficiently.

Note: Candidates must have at least 3 years of real estate law experience. Experience supporting commercial real estate transactions is highly preferred.

Job Description

Assist attorneys with commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract through closing.
Prepare and review closing documents, deeds, transfer documents, and related real estate filings.
Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, and government agencies.
Order and review title reports, surveys, and payoff statements.
Maintain transaction files and ensure deadlines are met.
Prepare closing packages and assist with post-closing matters.
Conduct due diligence and gather necessary documents for transactions.
Communicate with clients and third parties to facilitate smooth and timely closings.
Support attorneys with administrative and transactional matters as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of real estate law experience.
Experience with residential and/or commercial real estate transactions.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent communication and client service skills.
Experience preparing closing documents and handling transaction coordination.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems.
