What You’ll Do:

Promote Safety. Take an active role in prioritizing safety for yourself and others at all times. Exercise good judgment when operating heavy equipment in a busy environment.
Operate Equipment. Operate mixer to transport and unload ready-mix concrete as well as add water when needed.
Daily Inspections. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Complete daily mobile equipment reports and other relevant documentation with accuracy. Must be able to handle and understand Department of Transportation regulations, keeping all documentation up to date.
Maintain Equipment. Maintain equipment performance by checking vehicle fluid levels, and reporting any unsafe mechanical conditions.
Monitor Surroundings. Monitor your surroundings when operating equipment in and out of the plant(s) and job sites. Report any necessary maintenance or adjustments that may be required to ensure safety.
Customer Service. Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional, kind, and courteous manner.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills You’ll Need:

Experience. Previous experience operating a mixer is preferred.
Ready to Drive. Must possess a commercial driver’s license and have a valid DOT physical or the ability to get one.
Knowledge of Best Practices. Knowledge of general principles and practices of operating and servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred. Experience with Department of Transportation rules and regulations for transporting heavy equipment is preferred.
Flexibility. Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
Clean Driving Record. Must posses a clean driving record.
Physical Ability. Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
Drug Testing. Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug testing.
