Location

Alameda, CA (In-person positions only)

Positions

We are seeking full-time seasoned seamstresses or designer. This position is temporary until October/November 2026.
We are not offering sponsorship or relocation accommodations at this time.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the seamstress is to help bring a brides dream wedding dress to life for her big day.

Job Description

Seamstresses are responsible for assisting with sewing and altering bridal gowns. They understand that speed is necessary, but accuracy is most important. They follow exact instructions and are adaptable when we implement new sewing techniques. They are easy-going and do not take critiques personally. They are expected to be continuously updating their knowledge of the company products, services, and policies. They support coworkers as needed, but otherwise can work independently.

Job Duties:

Precisely sew garments with standard sewing methods, including hand sewing
Work with Bustles
Manage day to day responsibilities in a professional, positive, and efficient manner
Support coworkers as needed
Thread machines and replace needles when needed
Follow direct instruction when working on dresses
All other duties as assigned by Seamstress Manager
Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Required Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to sew
Ability to safely use different types of sewing machines
Ability to hand sew
Sound knowledge of various fabrics and sewing techniques
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Ability to work under time constraints
Ability to follow exact instruction
Ability to adapt to new sewing methods
Ability to not take criticism personally
Ability to do beading
Excellent communication skills
Detail-Oriented
Good hand-eye coordination

Qualifications

5+ years of sewing experience

Working Conditions

Indoor environment

Gross Motor

Ability to sit for extended periods, squat, bend, and lift up to twenty-five (25) lbs

Fine Motor

Using zippers/buttons, hand sewing, operating sewing machines

Schedule

8 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday

Job Types: Temporary, Seasonal

Pay: $19.00 - $31.00 per hour
