Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), where you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive mental health services to diverse patient populations. This energetic position offers the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, utilize advanced clinical skills, and make a meaningful impact on patients’ mental well-being. We are seeking a dedicated professional who is passionate about providing high-quality psychiatric care in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Duties

Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including mental status examinations and diagnostic evaluations, utilizing your physiology and psychology knowledge.
Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DEA guidelines, ensuring safe and effective treatment plans.
Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals across disciplines such as internal medicine, behavioral health, and social work to develop integrated care strategies.
Provide telehealth services to expand access to mental health care for patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics and community outreach programs.
Educate patients and their families on treatment options, medication management, and coping strategies to promote recovery and resilience.
Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks, maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards.
Participate in case management activities, discharge planning, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Requirements

Valid certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with current state licensure.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for accurate medical records management.
Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology, medication administration, and drug enforcement regulations (DEA).
Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospitals, clinics, or community health programs.
Familiarity with diagnostic coding systems including ICD-10/ICD-9 for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate care in high-pressure environments such as emergency rooms or trauma centers.
