Full Job Description

We are a small but fast-growing electrical construction company seeking the right candidate to join our team as a Full-Charge Bookkeeper / Construction Accounting Assistant.

The ideal candidate will have solid bookkeeping and accounting experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with ComputerEase accounting software is strongly preferred. Prior experience in construction accounting and/or public works contracting is a major plus.

This position offers a flexible work schedule and may be ideal for someone seeking long-term growth with a smaller, fast-moving construction company. We are open to both part-time and full-time arrangements depending on experience and fit.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Data entry and invoice entry
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Journal entries and monthly closing procedures
Accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Payroll processing and related reporting
State and local tax reporting, including Washington State DOR and city filings
Compliance support related to public works projects
Preparation of financial reports and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports
Contract administration and compliance documentation
Other accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

Bookkeeping and accounting experience required
Construction accounting and job-cost accounting experience preferred
Experience with public works and prevailing wage reporting is a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Self-motivated and dependable
Strong communication and organizational skills

Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and working arrangement.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, and interested in growing with the company long-term.
