Manufacturing Engineering Support – CAD & Specifications

North East Fasteners Corporation – Terryville, CT
Full-Time or Part-Time | Flexible Scheduling Available

North East Fasteners Corporation is a precision manufacturer serving the aerospace, military, and commercial industries. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with manufacturing, engineering, CAD, or technical documentation experience to support our Sales, Production, and Quality teams.

This role helps ensure that part drawings, specifications, revisions, and technical documentation are accurate, current, and organized before work reaches production.

This is a stable, long-term position with clear responsibility and flexibility in how you structure your workweek. It may be especially attractive to an experienced engineer or manufacturing professional who wants consistent work, defined ownership, and a dependable environment without necessarily needing a traditional five-day schedule.

We welcome experienced manufacturing professionals, including individuals who may be semi-retired, returning to the workforce, or simply looking for a reduced work schedule while continuing to use their technical knowledge and experience.

What You’ll Do

Review part drawings and specifications to support quotation and contract review
Help confirm revision levels, drawing requirements, and specification requirements for incoming orders
Maintain internal databases for specifications, drawings, and revision control
Help maintain current revision levels for Military and Aerospace COTS items
Create or update simple CAD drawings for tooling, machine components, or related manufacturing needs
Work with Sales, Production, Quality, and Engineering to clarify print requirements and technical details
Help identify discrepancies between drawings, specifications, revisions, and customer requirements
Maintain clear, accurate, and organized engineering documentation
Support special technical and documentation projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

Experience working with technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, or engineering documentation
CAD experience, such as SolidWorks or a similar system, for occasional tooling or part drawings
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
Ability to research and interpret technical requirements
Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and communicate clearly
Manufacturing, engineering, quality, tooling, or technical documentation experience preferred
Practical manufacturing experience is highly valued, even if your background does not follow a traditional engineering career path

Flexible Schedule Options

We recognize that experienced professionals may be looking for different work arrangements.

Schedule options may include:

Full-Time: 5-day workweek / 8-hour days
Full-Time: 4-day workweek / 10-hour days
Part-Time: Minimum 25 hours per week, with the specific schedule structured around the needs of the position and the successful candidate

We especially welcome qualified individuals who may prefer part-time employment, including semi-retired professionals or experienced individuals seeking a better work-life balance.

Part-time compensation would be adjusted to reflect the reduced schedule. Benefits for a part-time arrangement may also be available and can be discussed with a qualified candidate based on hours worked, experience, and the overall employment arrangement.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time target compensation: approximately $75,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Part-time compensation will be established at an appropriate reduced rate based on experience, qualifications, scheduled hours, and responsibilities.
