Full Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to provide hands-on accounting support on a temporary basis through Q2 2027. This is a 100% remote opportunity for a self-directed accounting professional who is comfortable owning day-to-day transactional accounting activities and working independently.

The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to step into the accounting function with minimal oversight.

Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required.

Key Responsibilities

Manage invoicing and accounts payable activities
Support and execute month-end close processes
Perform transactional and general accounting activities
Assist with light financial and accounting reporting
Maintain accurate inventory costing and cost of goods sold (COGS)
Ensure invoices are properly applied to appropriate inventory lots
Research and resolve discrepancies related to inventory, invoices, and accounting transactions
Perform account reconciliations and other month-end accounting support
Maintain accurate accounting records within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Provide additional general accounting support as business needs arise
Work independently to prioritize responsibilities, troubleshoot issues, and meet deadlines

Qualifications

Previous experience in a Senior Accountant or comparable hands-on accounting role
Required: Prior experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and month-end close
Experience with invoicing and accounts payable
Experience with inventory accounting, inventory costing, and COGS
Ability to work independently in a remote environment with limited supervision
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
Comfortable working in a hands-on, transactional accounting capacity

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
