Bring Creative Sign Concepts to Life
Graphic House, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter - sign manufacturing to create accurate, production-ready drawings for custom interior and exterior signage.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with drafting, CAD, mechanical design, architectural drawing, or manufacturing experience who enjoys seeing their work move from a drawing into a finished product.
Our drafters work closely with designers, purchasing, and manufacturing to develop clear shop drawings that guide fabrication and installation.
Previous sign-industry experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train a strong drafter who understands manufacturing, construction, fabrication, or mechanical design.
What You Will Do
- Create detailed, accurate shop and fabrication drawings for custom signage.
- Develop scaled layouts, sections, elevations, dimensions, and construction details.
- Translate approved sign concepts into production-ready drawings.
- Identify materials, components, mounting methods, and fabrication requirements.
- Work with designers, project coordinators, sales, and manufacturing to resolve drawing questions.
- Review field measurements, customer specifications, and project information.
- Revise drawings based on customer approvals and production requirements.
- Ensure drawings are complete, accurate, and practical to manufacture and install.
- Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and project documentation.
- Manage multiple projects and adjust priorities as deadlines change.
Qualifications
- Experience with CAD, drafting, mechanical design, architectural drawing, or manufacturing drawings.
- Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, CorelDRAW, or similar software.
- Ability to read and create detailed technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of dimensions, scale, materials, and construction methods.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with office and production teams.
- Comfortable working on multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
A degree or technical diploma in drafting, mechanical design, engineering technology, architecture, or a related field is helpful, but equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered.
Experience That Would Be Especially Valuable
Experience in any of the following areas is a plus:
- Custom sign manufacturing
- Sheet metal or aluminum fabrication
- Welding or structural fabrication
- Cabinetry or millwork
- Architectural or construction drawings
- Electrical sign components
- CNC or router-based manufacturing
- SolidWorks or CorelDRAW

Compensation negotiable – based on experience
Pay: $25.50 - $30.00 per hour
