Catering Coordinator Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of catering events, ensuring exceptional customer service and seamless execution. This role requires strong organizational skills, a passion for event planning, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. The Catering Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing our clients' experiences through meticulous planning and execution of catered events.

Duties

Coordinate all catering events from initial inquiry through execution, ensuring client satisfaction at every stage.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budget for each event.
Develop and manage event proposals, contracts, and budgets while ensuring adherence to company policies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to create customized menus that align with client expectations.
Upsell additional services and products to enhance the overall event experience.
Oversee on-site event setup, execution, and breakdown to ensure all details are handled efficiently.
Manage vendor relationships for supplies and services related to catering events.
Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future catering services.
Stay updated on industry trends in event marketing and catering services.

Requirements

Proven experience in customer service, preferably within the restaurant, hotel or catering industry.
Strong skills in event planning and coordination, with a keen eye for detail.
Experience with budgeting and financial management related to events.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple events simultaneously.
Knowledge of banquet service standards and catering operations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with event marketing strategies is a plus.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution.
