Position Summary
The Director of Marketing /Physician Liaison is responsible for expanding and strengthening the referral network across the Cardiac & Vascular Consultants enterprise, including Tri County, and extending to Curelogics. This role also owns the organization's digital media presence and works hand-in-hand with Practice Managers to improve patient access across all sites. The Director will be the enterprise's face to the outside referring community — while supporting the Practice Managers with building and maintaining direct relationships with referring physicians. The Director will also be engaging directly with patients to support access and overall experience.
This is a hands-on, suited to someone who thrives on relationship-building and wants to grow into broader marketing/growth leadership within a multi-site healthcare organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesReferral Network Growth
- Partner with Practice Managers across all sites to build, expand, and strengthen relationships with referring physicians and practices across the service area.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to referring physician offices to maintain relationships, address concerns, and identify growth opportunities.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referring physicians, ensuring timely follow-up and responsiveness to their needs.
- Track referral patterns and volumes, identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities for outreach.
- Partner with physicians and practice leadership on strategies to deepen relationships with high-value referral sources.
Patient Access
- Partner with Practice Managers across all sites to identify and resolve barriers to patient access (scheduling, wait times, referral-to-appointment turnaround).
- Support initiatives that improve the referring physician's and patient's experience of getting into the practice.
- Serve as an escalation point for access issues raised by referring offices or patients.
- Monitor access-related metrics in partnership with Practice Managers and flag issues proactively.
Digital Media & Marketing
- Own the enterprise's digital media presence, including website, social media, and online reputation/reviews.
- Develop and execute marketing campaigns that support referral growth, patient acquisition, and service line awareness.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital and print materials enterprise-wide.
- Track digital marketing performance (web traffic, lead generation, engagement) and adjust strategy based on results.
- Coordinate with outside vendors/agencies as needed for digital media, advertising, or content production.
Physician & Patient-Facing Relationship Management
- Maintain direct, ongoing contact with referring physicians and their office staff.
- Engage directly with patients as needed to support access, experience, and satisfaction.
- Represent the enterprise at community and physician events, conferences, and outreach activities.
- Gather feedback from referring physicians and patients and channel it into operational and marketing improvements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Project manage marketing and patient access projects from initiation through completion, coordinating timelines, resources, and stakeholders across sites.
- Partner with Practice Managers, the Director of Practice Operations, physician recruitment, and clinical leadership to align marketing and outreach efforts with operational capacity.
- Provide regular reporting to the COO on referral trends, marketing performance, and patient access metrics.
- Support new site openings and service line launches with marketing and referral-network strategy.
QualificationsRequired
- 3-5+ years of experience in healthcare marketing, physician liaison, business development, or related field.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with referring physicians or a similar external stakeholder network.
- Experience owning or managing digital marketing channels (website, social media, digital advertising).
- Comfortable spending significant time in the field visiting referring offices and representing the organization externally.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- Experience in cardiology, vascular, or another procedural/specialty practice setting.
- Familiarity with CRM or referral-tracking tools.
- Experience managing digital marketing vendors or agencies.
- Master's degree (MHA, MBA) a plus but not required.

- Demonstrated improvement in patient access metrics achieved in partnership with Practice Managers.
- Established regular cadence of referring-physician visits and outreach across the service area.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
