Full Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) – Part-Time

Location: MinuteClinic
Job Type: Contract – 6 Months
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 20 hours/week
Shift: Day Shift, 2–3 weekdays per week, with some weekend and holiday coverage
Contract: Possible extension and potential contract-to-hire opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced LPN/LVN to join a clinical team in a fast-paced outpatient healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings and be comfortable providing direct patient care, administering medications, performing assessments, and documenting patient information in an EMR system.

Key Responsibilities

Administer oral, injectable, intravenous, and topical medications.
Perform routine patient assessments and monitor overall health and well-being.
Monitor vital signs and identify abnormalities in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
Evaluate patient conditions, monitor pain levels, and document treatment responses.
Perform medication reviews and identify potential side effects or drug interactions.
Conduct mental health screenings, including depression and mood assessments.
Document patient medical history, medications, allergies, surgeries, and family history accurately in electronic health records.
Provide patient education on medication administration, self-care, and disease management.
Connect patients with appropriate healthcare and community resources.
Perform phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinic.

Required Qualifications

Active LPN or LVN license in good standing with no current or prior disciplinary actions.
Compact licenses must be issued in the candidate's primary state of residence.
Minimum 1 year of related healthcare experience.
Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings.
Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing.
Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems; Epic experience preferred.
Current BLS certification.
Strong communication, clinical, documentation, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work approximately 20 hours per week, including some weekends and major holidays.
