About us

We are a fully ambulatory surgery center that speciallizes in plastic surgery in Boca Raton, FL, and have been in practice for 30 years.

Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care to patients.

- Prepare patient prior to surgery: ensuring all patient consent forms are accurate and signed by patient and witnessed by RN, documenting vital signs, documenting appropriate patient intake forms, placing IV catheters, and working with the surgeon and anesthesiologist to prepare patient for surgery.

- Assist anesthesiologist and scrub technician in preparing the patient for anesthesia while maintaining sterile technique.

- Perform as a circulator in the operating room, document all OR forms appropriately, handle sterile supplies and instruments using aseptic technique, assist the surgeon, scrub tech, and anesthesiologist during surgery, and maintain patient safety intraoperatively.

- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Conduct procedures such as phlebotomy, foley catheter placement, and IV placement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

- Monitor and recover the patient in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).

- Proficiency in EKG interpretation.

- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and educate patients regarding pain management, post-operative medications, and self-care.

- Discharge patients from the facility in a safe and appropriate manner, ensuring all needs are met prior to discharge.

Qualifications:
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in [Florida]
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a clinical setting
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation techniques and patient care procedures
- Knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and medical terminology
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and medication administration

- PACU or Acute Care experience PREFERRED
