Full Job Description

Job Overview
Join our dedicated team as a QMAP/Resident Assistant, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate, personalized care to residents in a supportive and engaging environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with individuals requiring assistance with daily living activities, memory care, and specialized support for seniors and individuals with disabilities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a warm community atmosphere, ensuring residents feel valued, safe, and cared for every day.

Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and maintain detailed medication administration records (MAR) using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through behavior management techniques and personalized engagement strategies.
Provide companionship and social support, encouraging participation in group activities and community events to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces in compliance with health standards.
Support residents during emergencies or incidents by following established protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary.

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living or memory care.
Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care and memory care strategies.
Certification or experience in first aid and CPR.
Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation of resident information and medication records.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
Valid Qmap certificate.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk extended distances, stand for extended periods of time and bend.

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
