Job description:
Job Title: Medical Nail Technician (Luxury Private Practice - No Acrylics/Fumes); 100% of Tips + Commission on Products
About Us
Prestige Podiatry Care aims to be Stamford’s premier destination for advanced foot and ankle medicine. We are not a standard nail salon; we are a medical facility bridging the gap between healthcare and luxury aesthetics. We specialize in Medical Pedicures—a waterless, sterile, and physician-supervised service for clients who demand the highest standards of safety and care.
The Opportunity
Are you a licensed Nail Technician tired of the "volume factory" mentality? Are you exhausted by toxic acrylic fumes, rushed 20-minute appointments, and unsafe sanitation practices?
Upgrade your career to the medical side of aesthetics. We are looking for a meticulous, professional Nail Technician to lead our Medical Pedicure department. You will work alongside a Board-Certified Podiatrist in a stunning, brand-new facility, providing safe, restorative foot care to high-end clientele.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
- Safety First: No acrylics, no dips, and no toxic fumes. We use medical-grade autoclaves for sterilization (just like a surgery center). Your health matters to us.
- Quality Over Quantity: Our appointments are 45–60 minutes. You will have the time to provide a truly transformative experience without being rushed.
- High-End Clientele: Our "Medical Pedicure" is a premium service, attracting clients who value quality and tip accordingly.
- Career Growth: You will be trained in medical-grade sterilization, nail pathology recognition, and advanced waterless techniques, making you a highly specialized "Medical Nail Technician."
- Beautiful Environment: Work in a brand-new, modern medical suite in Stamford—not a crowded strip mall salon.
Responsibilities
- Perform our signature Medical Pedicures (waterless technique) focusing on nail health, cuticle care, and callus reduction using an electric file (e-file).
- Maintain strictly sterile protocols: Autoclaving instruments, sanitization, and maintaining a hospital-grade clean environment.
- Educate patients on proper home care and recommend physician-approved products (antifungal serums, moisturizers, etc.).
- Identify potential foot issues (fungus, warts, infections) and alert the doctor for medical consultation.
- Manage appointments and payments using our modern tech stack (Square & Tebra).
Requirements
- Valid Connecticut Nail Technician or Cosmetology License (Required).
- Experience with E-File / Drill is highly preferred (training provided).
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Waterless Pedicure techniques.
- Impeccable hygiene standards. If you are obsessive about cleanliness, you will fit right in.
- Professional demeanor: You must be comfortable conversing with patients in a medical setting.
- Availability to work any day Monday-Saturday.
Schedule
- Part-Time to start (building to Full-Time as patient book grows).
- The office is open Monday-Fridays 9am-6pm and Saturdays 9am-12pm.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a brief note about why you want to transition from a standard salon to a medical practice. If you have an Instagram portfolio of your natural nail work, please include the link!
