Phone Room Operator – Be the Friendly Voice of Wichita Urology!
Department: Registration
Status: Non-Exempt
Reports to: Registration Manager
Location: Wichita, KS

Who We’re Looking For:

Do you have a gift for great conversations and love helping people feel heard and cared for? If you're a multitasking superstar who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we’ve got just the role for you! Wichita Urology is looking for a Phone Room Operator who’s ready to bring compassion, clarity, and confidence to every call.

You’ll be the first point of contact for our patients—answering phones, scheduling appointments, and helping people navigate their healthcare journey with ease and empathy. Bonus: you’ll also be cross-trained as a Registration Specialist, so there’s plenty of opportunity to grow and flex your skills!

What You’ll Be Doing:

Be the welcoming voice for patients calling Wichita Urology—answering and routing incoming calls with professionalism and warmth
Schedule appointments using iSalus EHR (we’ll train you!)
Use paging and voicemail systems to make sure messages get to the right folks
Keep patient info accurate and up-to-date
Hit weekly call goals (350-400 calls/week—we believe in setting clear and achievable targets!)
Assist with patient registration and front desk needs when needed
Uphold our clinic’s gold-standard of care and guest service: think of yourself as a concierge of kindness
Protect patient confidentiality like a pro
Tackle other administrative tasks to keep things running smoothly

What You Bring to the Table:

1-2 years of phone operator and/or registration experience in a medical office preferred
A knack for customer service—you love helping people
Solid computer skills and comfort with multi-line phones
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
The ability to stay calm, clear, and kind—even on a busy day
Excellent communication skills—you know how to listen and be heard

Visual focus is important—you’ll be looking at screens and documents often
