Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and highly organized Front Desk Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our office. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure a smooth, positive experience for every patient and visitor who walks through our doors.

No prior medical or receptionist experience? No problem! We provide full, on-the-job training. Whether you come from retail, hospitality, or are looking to start a new career path, we are looking for someone with a great attitude, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative skills while contributing to a dynamic team.

Duties

Greet visitors and patients with a friendly and professional demeanor, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.
Locate, obtain, and verify patient insurance information accurately prior to appointments.
Learn to navigate and manage daily scheduling, patient check-ins, and data entry using a couple of primary Electronic Health Record (EHR) software programs.
Manage our multi-line phone system, directing calls efficiently and providing clear, accurate information to callers.
Schedule appointments, manage the office calendar, and coordinate patient flow to keep the clinic running on time.
Perform basic clerical duties, including managing daily correspondence and handling patient check-outs and payments.
Maintain organized digital and physical files while strictly protecting patient privacy and confidentiality.

RequirementsWhat We Are Looking For:

No Experience Required: Complete, paid, on-the-job training is provided for the right person.
People First: Outstanding customer service skills with a warm, friendly attitude and excellent phone etiquette.
Tech Trainable: Comfortable learning to use specialized healthcare software (EHR) and scheduling programs.
Highly Organized: The ability to multitask, prioritize tasks efficiently, and keep a front desk running smoothly in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-Oriented: Great attention to detail when looking up insurance benefits and entering patient records.
Reliable Team Player: A proactive, dependable individual who loves collaborating with a small team to support our community.

Bonus Points (Not Required):

Any previous experience as a front desk receptionist, customer service representative, or retail associate.
Prior experience in a medical, dental, or optical office (especially involving insurance verification or EHR systems).
Bilingual abilities are a wonderful plus to help us serve our diverse community!
