Full Job Description

About the Role

Bekum America, a global leader in extrusion blow molding machinery, is seeking an experienced Senior Machine Builder to join our manufacturing team. This position requires strong mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic assembly skills, with the ability to build complete machines and prototypes independently.

Key Responsibilities

Build, assemble, and test complete blow molding machines with minimal supervision.
Install and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems from schematics.
Perform machine start-up, checkout, and final testing.
Assist with scheduling, coordination, and mentoring of other team members.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety standards.
Perform preventative maintenance and ensure a clean, organized work area.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a senior or lead machine builder.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret detailed drawings and schematics.
Proficiency with precision and hand tools; forklift/crane certification preferred.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

Regular standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work safely around moving machinery and in a loud environment.
