Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen management, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation, and maintaining a positive work environment.

Duties

Assist in the planning and execution of menu items, ensuring creativity and quality in every dish.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food production.
Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
Collaborate with the Head Chef on catering events and special functions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
Ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
Participate in menu development and cost control initiatives.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or fine dining industry.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques, catering practices, and kitchen management.
Familiarity with inventory control systems and food management best practices.
Excellent culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Bartending experience is a plus but not required.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
