Position Summary

Our client is a well-established CPA firm seeking a professional, personable, and career-minded Receptionist to join their team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a stable, professional office environment. You do not need previous CPA, accounting, or tax experience. The firm is committed to training the right individual and providing the knowledge and support needed to grow into an Administrative Assistant role over time.

The ideal candidate enjoys helping people, communicates professionally, is highly organized, and wants to become part of a close-knit team where employees build lasting careers.

Responsibilities

Welcome clients and visitors with a friendly and professional attitude.
Answer and direct calls using a multi-line phone system.
Schedule appointments and maintain calendars.
Monitor emails and respond professionally when appropriate.
Organize, scan, file, and manage confidential documents.
Perform data entry and general administrative support.
Coordinate mailings and complete occasional errands to FedEx, UPS, the post office, banks, or other local vendors.
Prioritize daily tasks while managing multiple responsibilities.
Work closely with the firm's experienced staff to learn office procedures and internal systems.
Receive hands-on training in payroll, administrative processes, tax workflow, financial document preparation, and other CPA office functions.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Receptionist, Front Desk Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, Customer Service Representative, or similar office position.
Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic Excel.
Comfortable learning new software and office procedures.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to assist wherever needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local errands.
