Full Job Description

Position Purpose

The Clinic Supervisor is responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and daily operations of the Greeley clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in a safe and efficient environment. This position provides direct supervision and development of clinical and front office staff, promotes collaboration among providers and departments, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational policies, and quality standards. The Clinic Supervisor serves as a leader, mentor, and operational resource, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions

Available to serve CFG patients and staff during operating hours of the clinic.
Oversees clinical nursing care, ensuring compliance with established regulations and standards including quality assurance, confidentiality, and medical record documentation.
Provides direct supervision to nurses and clinical staff, ensuring appropriate assessment and treatment of patient health. Monitors all EMR grids for accuracy and completion.
Serves as a mentor and coach for clinic.
Serves as key problem-solving resource for staff. Acts as resource to physicians and clinical staff. staff. Maintains communications between all clinic groups.
Establishes work performance measures, competencies, and quality standards for medical assistants and nurses to continually improve the delivery of quality health care. Establishes cycle times for each competency.
Maintains a high level of engagement in the staff to provide excellent patient care.
Studies patient needs/trends, analyzes patient flow problems, and suggests solutions to patient care problems.
Collaborates with Leadership Team on development and implementation of the organization’s mission, goals, policies, procedures, budget, quality assurance plan, and work standards.
Participates in medical practice planning related to clinic and emergency/disaster response system.
Completes annual employee evaluations for all clinical and front office staff.
Collaborates with the human resources department on recruiting, selecting, orienting/training, and evaluating staff.
Maintains confidentiality of all information regarding patients, employees, clinic, and hospital.
Takes personal accountability for tasks and fosters teamwork.
Understand and adhere to all HIPAA regulations to maintain our patients’ privacy.
Requires regular, predictable attendance.
Flexibility is essential for success with CFG and on occasion, our employees may be asked to complete projects and tasks that could be outside of their normal scope of duties.

Required Competencies

Required Competencies and Experience

· Medical Office: 1 year

· Customer service: 2 years

· ERM experience: 1 year

· Certification: Current Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse

Preferred Competencies and Experience

· Epic experience

· Supervisory level experience including selection, training, mentoring/coaching, and evaluating staff

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, or sit for extended periods of time.
Physical demands: percentage of time spent in each activity (estimate)
Walking 15% - assisting patients, delivering information personally to other departments, collaborating with other department employees.
Sitting 85% - answering the telephone, scheduling appointments and procedures in the call center, working at the front desk, working on the computer.
Number of pounds that must be lifted, carried, pushed or pulled: up to 20lbs.
Climbing on step ladders to reach top shelves, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, fingering (like keyboarding, controls on a scanner, fax, etc.)
Ability to speak clearly to be understood by our patients and employees.
Ability to hear within normal range. Able to hear patients on the phone in a noisy call center/front desk environment.
Acuity near and far. Ability to see within normal parameters, and to distinguish colors.
Ability to work for extensive periods at computer keyboarding.
Works in a well-lit heated/air-conditioned environment. Temperatures between 68 and 74 degrees.
Work may involve exposure to communicable diseases, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a clinic environment.
