About
The Recruiter is responsible for supporting full-cycle recruiting activities across the organization, including attracting, sourcing, evaluating, and engaging candidates for open positions. This role manages the hiring process from job posting and candidate outreach through interviews, pre-employment requirements, offers, and onboarding support while ensuring a positive candidate experience. The Recruiter builds and maintains talent pipelines, develops sourcing strategies, supports hiring managers, and manages recruiting compliance to ensure hiring practices, processes, and documentation remain consistent with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
The Recruiter serves as a brand ambassador to prospective candidates and develops relationships with talent pools, including technical professionals and individuals from traditionally underrepresented groups. The position also supports recruiting analytics, applicant tracking system (ATS) administration, interview training, and other HR activities as needed.
Essential Functions

Posts job openings on job boards, company website, social media platforms, and other recruiting channels to attract qualified candidates

Sources and engages candidates through diverse talent pools and serves as a brand ambassador for BSC

Develops and executes sourcing strategies for technical, production, and other positions across the organization

Conducts proactive outreach to prospective candidates, including candidates from technical and diverse talent communities that are traditionally underrepresented

Cultivates and maintains talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs

Reviews applications, evaluates candidates against established qualifications, and coordinates the candidate selection process

Maintains regular communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, providing timely updates and supporting a positive candidate experience

Schedules interviews with hiring managers and candidates and ensures interview participants are prepared

Partners with hiring managers and HR Business Partners throughout the recruiting and selection process

Works with the HR Business Partner to extend employment offers and communicate terms of employment, including benefits and work arrangements

Manages recruiting compliance and ensures recruiting and hiring practices, processes, and documentation comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and company policies

Maintains knowledge of applicable employment laws, regulations, and recruiting best practices and applies this knowledge to recruiting and hiring activities

Coordinates pre-employment physical examinations and drug screens, initiates background checks, and monitors completion of required pre-employment activities in accordance with applicable requirements and company procedures

Assists new hires with the onboarding process to support a smooth transition into the organization

Creates and maintains new hire personnel files and conducts a portion of new employee orientation

Serves as a backup for completing and submitting Form I-9 documentation in accordance with applicable requirements

Maintains accurate and timely information in recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems (ATS)

Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ATS, including training new users on system functionality and partnering with the ATS vendor on system improvements and enhancements

Develops, maintains, and tracks recruiting data and reporting analytics to measure sourcing and recruiting activity against established metrics

Partners with the HR team to develop and deliver interview training and resources for hiring managers

Maintains confidentiality of candidate and employee information and handles sensitive information appropriately

Orders flowers and coordinates appropriate recognition for significant life events involving employees

Attends training and professional development activities as designated to maintain knowledge of recruiting practices, employment regulations, and company procedures

Performs other HR and recruiting duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or another related field preferred; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered

3–5 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience preferred

Experience recruiting production operators strongly preferred

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

General human resources experience is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with candidates, hiring managers, employees, and external partners

Strong knowledge of recruiting and selection principles, practices, and procedures

Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and best practices related to recruiting and hiring

Ability to learn and effectively utilize applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR systems

Experience managing recruiting data, metrics, and reporting preferred

Work Environment

Regular work in an office environment with extended periods of keyboarding and computer use

Position requires the ability to move throughout a multi-building manufacturing campus, including filing and storage areas

Position requires travel between the Mead and Longmont facilities based on business needs

Campus includes manufacturing and laboratory facilities; occasional use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) may be necessary

Ability to follow applicable site safety requirements and procedures while visiting manufacturing and laboratory areas
Job Location

Position is based at the Longmont facility, but requires frequent travel to the Mead facility, based on operational needs.
Pay
-
Salary Range: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 annually, plus participation in the Company Bonus Plan
