Accounting & Administrative Assistant

What you should know: Mulberry Talent Partners is partnering with a stable, growing, and highly respected company in SE Portland to identify an Accounting & Administrative Assistant. They are a trusted distributor serving the semiconductor industry, providing products and supply chain solutions to many of the world's leading technology manufacturers. This position is responsible for supporting the company's Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions while providing administrative support for accounting and customer service operations. This is an opportunity that allows you to work with kind, warm, and friendly colleagues who work hard and have fun as they provide top level customer service. A day in the life:

Enter Accounts Payable and Receivable invoices
Review AP invoices against purchase orders verifying pricing, quantities, freight charges, and product details
Process EFT/ACH customer payments, credit card transactions and customer and vendor checks
Contact customers regarding past due accounts
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
Maintain electronic and paper accounting records and filing systems
Enter and track customer bookings and sales activity
Generate and distribute monthly customer invoices
Submit invoices through customer procurement portals
Prepare and distribute internal intelligence and business reports
Process and maintain new customer credit applications and account setup documentation

What makes you qualified:

2+ years of administrative, accounting, bookkeeping, or office support experience
Knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent organizational and time management skills able to meet deadlines and manage priorities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
Experience using ERP systems, accounting or inventory software specifically Sage preferred
Professional, dependable, and friendly able to work onsite Monday – Friday 8am-5pm
