Full Job Description

Summary: A Data Entry Clerk, or Data Entry Specialist, is responsible for inputting data and making changes to existing data in digital databases. Their duties include inputting data from paper or electronic documents into a core database, updating statuses for clients and double-checking their work to make sure they input data correctly.

Essential Functions:

Use applicable websites to verify provider data received
Transfer data from documents to a proprietary database
Create and monitor tasks to track important provider information
Accurately record and update provider information in database
Professionally communicate with clients and providers via email and phone
Record client communication in a clear and concise manner
Identify outdated data and make necessary updates to records
Coordinate communication between departments/teams to ensure proper workflow
Actively participate in department meetings
Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Education & Knowledge:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent

2. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Skills:

1. Strong customer service skills; answering client calls; prompt return and follow-up to all interactions; prompt response to requests for information, both internally and externally

2. Ability to use email, search engine, Internet; ability to effectively use related websites.

Abilities:

1. Ability to multitask.

2. Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instruction.

3. Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with employees and providers.

4. Ability to run standard office equipment.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands:

· Requires mobility, frequent walking, standing, and sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching and periodic lifting of up to 25 lbs.

· Requires coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment

· Requires normal (corrected) vision and hearing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
