Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Body Shop Technician to join our automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive vehicle repairs, including structural and cosmetic restoration, to restore vehicles to their optimal condition. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in auto body repair, welding techniques, and fabrication processes, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced automotive repair equipment in a dynamic environment committed to excellence.

Responsibilities

Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural realignment using specialized tools and techniques.
Conduct welding repairs utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and other welding repair methods to restore vehicle frameworks.
Fabricate custom parts or modify existing components through fabrication repair techniques to meet specific repair needs.
Utilize sanding tools, auto painting equipment, and automotive refinishing techniques to achieve a high-quality cosmetic finish.
Install automotive parts such as glass, trim, and body panels with precision and adherence to safety standards.
Conduct vehicle maintenance assessments and perform necessary repairs to ensure safety and functionality.
Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for disassembly, assembly, sanding, and finishing tasks.
Apply auto estimating skills to assess damage scope accurately and communicate repair plans effectively.
Ensure all repairs meet industry standards for automotive structural integrity and aesthetic quality.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or independent shop environment.
Proficiency in MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and fabrication techniques.
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and structural components.
Familiarity with auto restoration processes, auto painting, auto glass installation, and detailing.
Skilled in the use of sheet metal tools, sanding equipment, automotive cosmetic repair tools, and automotive welding equipment.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate power tools effectively.
Knowledge of auto estimating procedures and customer service principles.
Experience with automotive parts installation and general automotive repair practices.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
Valid certification or training in auto body repair or related fields is preferred.
