Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Business Development Representative to expand our client base across the manufacturing, industrial, energy, utility, municipal, and other commercial sectors. In this sales role, you will identify and develop new business opportunities by building strong relationships with prospective clients and promoting solutions that improve asset visibility, operational efficiency, and asset management performance.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within manufacturing, industrial, energy, utility, municipal, and commercial markets.
Develop and execute strategic plans to expand our client base, focusing on enterprise selling and relationship management.
Generate qualified leads through strategic prospecting, cold outreach, and business development.
Understand customer operational and asset management challenges and recommend solutions, including asset inventories, facility and plant walkdowns, equipment data collection, barcode asset tagging, and asset management initiatives.
Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline while maintaining accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, pipeline status, and sales activities.
Collaborate with company leadership to develop strategies that expand the client base and establish long-term business partnerships

Experience

Proven experience in business development management or sales roles, with a strong track record of client base expansion.
Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close new business.
Knowledge of manufacturing, industrial operations, maintenance, reliability, facilities management, or asset management.
An understanding of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients across multiple industrial settings.

Success in this role is driven by your ability to generate qualified leads through cold calling and emails, build lasting client relationships, and deliver solutions for organizations to improve asset quality, operational efficiency, maintenance planning, and overall asset management. This is a fully remote, independent contractor (1099) position offering uncapped commission-based earning potential with bonuses.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
