Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our growing construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for HVAC systems on a variety of commercial and residential projects. This role will also be responsible for measuring and laying out duct design at jobsites for field installers. Your expertise will help drive project success by ensuring precise budgeting, fostering strong client relationships, and supporting the overall construction process from initial bid to project completion. Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and technical drawings to develop comprehensive HVAC estimates.
Utilize estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.
Measuring and laying out hvac system/duct for field installers and inventory manager.
Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground data, assess construction site conditions, and verify quantities.
Prepare accurate pricing by sourcing materials, labor rates, subcontractor quotes, and equipment costs.
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
Assist in managing project budgets by implementing effective cost control measures throughout the bidding process.
Draft and review contracts, scope of work documents, and change orders to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
Support project management teams during construction by providing cost updates and assisting with change management.

Experience

The following is preferred but not essential:

Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on HVAC systems within commercial or residential projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management, and safety protocols related to HVAC installation.
Familiarity with estimating tools and other industry-standard software.
Demonstrated ability in negotiation with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favorable terms.
Experience in cost control techniques to monitor budgets effectively during all phases of construction projects.
Knowledge of contracts, project management principles, and construction management practices.
