Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and treasury operations across a complex multi-entity environment. This role supports the financial operations of a for-profit organization operating in multiple states with multiple legal entities and Employer Identification Numbers (EINs), while also ensuring proper cash administration and reporting for the organization's affiliated nonprofit fund.

The Treasury Manager partners closely with Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and executive leadership to optimize cash flow, maintain adequate liquidity, ensure compliance with internal controls, and provide accurate cash forecasting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Cash Management & Treasury Operations

Manage daily cash positioning and liquidity across multiple bank accounts, legal entities, and states.
Monitor and analyze cash balances, funding requirements, and intercompany transactions.
Develop and maintain short-term and long-term cash flow forecasts.
Execute bank transfers, ACH transactions, wire payments, and account reconciliations.
Ensure adequate cash availability to support operational, payroll, capital, and debt service requirements.
Coordinate cash concentration and fund movement strategies among multiple entities.

Banking & Financial Relationships

Serve as the primary liaison with banking partners and financial institutions.
Negotiate bank fees, services, and treasury management solutions.
Manage bank account openings, closures, signatory maintenance, and related documentation.
Monitor compliance with banking agreements, loan covenants, and treasury policies.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to banking platforms and cash management technologies.

Accounting & Financial Reporting

Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate recording of cash transactions and intercompany activity.
Review and approve bank reconciliations for all operating entities.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Prepare cash management reports, liquidity analyses, and treasury dashboards.
Support internal and external audits by providing treasury and banking documentation.

Multi-Entity & Intercompany Management

Manage cash activities for multiple legal entities operating under separate EINs.
Oversee intercompany funding, settlements, loan activity, and reconciliations.
Ensure accurate allocation and reporting of cash transactions by entity.
Support compliance with state-specific financial and banking requirements as applicable.

Nonprofit Fund Administration

Oversee cash management and banking activities associated with the organization's nonprofit fund.
Ensure appropriate segregation, tracking, and reporting of restricted and unrestricted funds.
Coordinate with nonprofit leadership and accounting teams to support financial reporting and compliance requirements.
Monitor fund liquidity and cash availability for grant-making, program activities, and operational needs.

Forecasting & Strategic Planning

Develop rolling cash forecasts and liquidity models.
Analyze working capital trends and identify opportunities to improve cash flow.
Provide recommendations regarding investment of excess cash and short-term liquidity strategies.
Support budgeting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

Maintain strong internal controls over all cash-related activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, banking regulations, and applicable financial controls.
Identify treasury-related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Support fraud prevention initiatives and payment security protocols.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
MBA, CPA, CTP (Certified Treasury Professional), or related certification preferred.

Experience

5-8+ years of progressive experience in cash management, treasury, accounting, or corporate finance.
Experience managing treasury operations in a multi-entity or multi-EIN environment required.
Experience supporting organizations operating across multiple states preferred.
Experience working with both for-profit and nonprofit financial operations strongly preferred.
Experience with banking portals, treasury management systems, and ERP platforms.

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
