Full Job Description

Guiding Lights maintains the highest commitment to ethics and integrity and is seeking qualified staff who embody these traits.

Job Title: Qualified Mental Health Professional- Adult (QMHP-A)**

Guiding Lights LLC, is looking for professionals in the human services field who are trained and experienced in providing mental health services to adults with Mental Health diagnoses in a residential setting. Must be able to have flexibility to work various shift(morning, afternoon, evenings).
The employee must successfully pass a criminal background and central registry checks and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must complete a minimum of 8 hours of training specific to the required components of mental health support services annually.
The Qualified Mental Health Professional shall provide Mental Health Skill-Building services to adults in the community.
Duties and responsibilities of the Mental Health Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP):
Participates in weekly Clinical Supervision
Implements Individualized Service Plan based on client(s) needs
Provides family relationship building and parenting skills training
Provides case management services (indirect services) as needed.
Provides all required assessments, reports and service plans on time in agency format that meets the needs of the client and referring agency.
Provides coordination between various agencies in accordance with case management principles.
Maintain timely and accurate documentation of service provision.
Manages a small caseload of client.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities:
Knowledge of the principles, techniques and practices related to the provision for community based mental health support services.
Knowledge of casework documentation and requirements to assure compliance with regulator requirements
Knowledge of community resources and entitlement benefits.
Ability to utilize clinical supervision to improve service delivery and documentation.
Education:
Applicant must meet the Department of Health Professionals experience and education requirements for QMHP-A before OR after December 31, 2017.
A master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from an accredited college or university, and evidence you have had an internship or practicum of at least 500 hours of experience with persons who have a mental illness.
OR
Have at least a bachelor’s degree in a human services field or in special education from an accredited college and with evidence of at least 1,500 hours of supervised experience obtained within a 5-year period immediately preceding application for QMHP-C registration (hours with children or adolescents with mental illness during an internship or practicum can be considered as part of the 1,500 hours of supervised experience required.
Have at least a bachelor degree in an unrelated field from an accredited college with 15 semester credits or 22 quarter hours in human services field and have evidence of 3,000 hours of supervised experience obtained within a 5-year period immediately preceding application for QMHP-A registration.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
