SUMMARY
Responsible for the operation, direction and guidance of assigned area(s) providing daily oversight of production operations in designated areas. Provides training and/or facilitates training for new and existing employees within the area, completes and approves required production documentation, communicates and recommends staffing requirements, participates in the preparation of staff performance assessments, assists with discipline and praise recommendations and fosters a positive team environment. The Team Lead is distinguished from the Supervisor(s) by providing informational supervisory responsibilities and less administrative oversight of the operation, however, the Team Lead has direct input and daily authority for the operations of the team. The Team Lead may also be required to perform the tasks of those they lead as required to meet demands. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor and provide work direction to achieve maximum performance of the team while maintaining quality standards
· Plans and assigns tasks to team members, ensures job rotations and conducts load balancing
· Provides either hands-on training or training via designate, guidance on tools, equipment, standard processes, work instructions, product specifications and enforce quality standards to ensure efficient, safe and quality operations
· Provides direct feedback to supervisors regarding individual and team performance
· Provides regular positive and improvement feedback to all employees in assigned area
· Sets the pace and communicates regularly to the team to achieve operational goals
· Coordinate and assist in efficient changeovers and production through hands-on involvement
· Understands, supports and achieves production and quality standards
· Keeps production, quality and scrap records that are pertinent to the work center
· First point of contact for quality, including first piece inspections and performing of tests
· Promote the safety and welfare of all team members and lead housekeeping activities
· Recommends staffing requirements, participates in the performance assessments for team members while offering suggestions for improvements and makes recommendations for discipline as needed
· First point of contact for team members for conflict resolution, yet understands when issues need to be escalated to the supervisory and/or human resources level
· Ensures proper tools, materials and equipment are available to team members and communicates needs to supervisors
· Responds to questions and concerns from production and plant support personnel and assists with identifying and implementing new or updated operations as management approves
· Participates and floats within the department assisting with production as needed
· Provide daily communication between other team leads and supervisors

· Performs preventative maintenance or make arrangements for as required, which may include proper handling of chemicals
· Make necessary labels and maintain, or insure maintenance of QA logs.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years previous supervisory experience or three years team lead/mentoring experience AND two years AFI spray booth, oil staining or color development or combination of the three.
- Ability to foster and develop a high-performance team environment
- Ability to pass Hue Test Color Discrimination test
- Ability to meet or exceed production standards for quality and quantity
- Ability to work various shifts for training, permanent shift and potential new and/or overtime shifts
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Ability to identify and resolve problems or seek assistance in a timely manner and take direction
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Respond promptly to internal and external customer needs and resolve all issues satisfactorily

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Four year’s progressive manufacturing experience required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- English required. Bilingual a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in units of measure
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Employee will be subjected to manufacturing environment including hot and cold temperatures, noise, airborne particles, fumes, chemicals, dust, dirt and odors.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
