Kitchen ManagerAbout the Opportunity

A confidential, upscale restaurant concept is seeking an experienced, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead day-to-day back-of-house operations while serving as a working chef alongside the team.

Our menu celebrates bold global influences through elevated, culture-driven cuisine. We're looking for a culinary leader who is just as comfortable preparing dishes on the line as they are coaching cooks, maintaining standards, and ensuring every guest receives an exceptional dining experience.

This is not an office position. The ideal candidate leads from the kitchen floor—prepping, cooking, expediting, and setting the standard for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork every shift.

What You'll Do

Lead every service from the kitchen floor, working alongside the team during prep and service.
Prepare menu items while ensuring recipes, presentation, and quality standards are consistently executed.
Expedite service and inspect every plate before it reaches the dining room.
Train, mentor, and develop line cooks while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.
Ensure prep production, station readiness, and kitchen organization before every service.
Maintain exceptional food quality and presentation, even during high-volume periods.
Oversee inventory counts, food cost controls, and waste reduction.
Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and sanitation.
Partner with ownership on menu improvements, operational efficiencies, and culinary innovation.

What You Bring

5+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Lead Chef, Kitchen Manager, or Chef in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
Exceptional culinary skills with the ability to prep, cook, expedite, and lead service at a high level.
Experience preparing a wide variety of globally inspired dishes and working with diverse culinary influences.
A relentless commitment to food quality, presentation, consistency, and cleanliness.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to build trust, coach a team, and maintain high standards under pressure.
A calm, hands-on leadership style that earns respect through action.
