Full Job Description

Company Overview:

A growing Tampa-based manufacturer of specialty and custom metal fabrications. The company serves multiple industries with a diversified customer base. Its reputation is known for quality, on-time delivery, and robust customer partnership and communication. Reports to the President and will work closely with management and stakeholders.

Plant Controller Job Description:

Plant controller should have strong analytical skills, expertise in accounting systems, and a focus on operational finance. Typically requiring at least ten years of experience in accounting or finance, this role is especially suited for those who have spent some of those years in a manufacturing environment. A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required, with additional credentials such as a CPA, CMA or MBA being a plus. The role requires strong leadership qualities, superior communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversee all Financial and Administrative functions
Preparation and distribution of financial reports
Cost accounting and project analysis
Monthly close process
Payroll and employee benefit programs
Responsible for creating budgets and forecasts.
Analysis of performance and opportunities for improvement

Skills & Competencies:

10 years’ experience with 5 years or more in a manufacturing/fabrication environment
Good communication and leadership skills
Ability to work with all levels of management and employees
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Familiar with integrated manufacturing software and lean manufacturing principles
BS in Accounting or Finance, CPA is not required

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
