Operations Supervisor

As we’re expanding our operations into the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area, CES Corporation has a unique and challenging opportunity for a highly skilled, adaptable, energetic and hardworking Operations Leader with a proven track-record of supervising large-scale operations and leading a team. Reporting to the Operations Manager,this role is responsible supervising the operations of CES Corporations Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas facility, ensuring the safety, efficiency, profitability, and the driving achievement of business objectives outlined in the company’s strategic plan. This role is also responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success and align daily operations with long-term goals and will support in both the strategic vision and operational oversight, leveraging innovation and best practices to maximize productivity in a safe working environment. The Supervisor will cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, supporting in implementing best practices across departments while ensuring a collaborative, inclusive and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

· Provide direction and oversight for the daily operations of the manufacturing facility

· Ensure production oversight by performing Active Supervision Tours (AST) throughout the shift – to manage production schedules, on-time, and within cost, including quality delivery, regular coaching, and feedback.

· Develop and conduct performance evaluations, and provide regular feedback, to develop and grow employees into greater levels of contribution.

· Monitor production quality and equipment performance to address any downtime; implementing quality control measures and resolving any technical and material issues

· Ensure production targets and KPI’s are met through accurate resource coordination & readiness, shift planning and daily performance monitoring – planning daily labor deployment and task allocation.

· Effectively manage employee payroll - timecards, absences and vacations, including employee relations.

· Validate material availability and optimize utilization and workflow, applying lean solutions to resolve bottlenecks.

· Drive accountability for 5S and workplace standards

· Maintain a safe working environment through regular safety compliance inspections and meetings, investigations and targeted training programs, promoting a safe work culture by motivating safe behaviors and leading by example.

· Hold self and others accountable for individual and collective results.

· Lead and conduct daily tiered meetings, administering company policy and procedures consistently, influencing employees at all levels through any change process.

· Champion continuous improvement through lean methodologies and stakeholder involvement

· Engage with all departments, and people and stakeholders across the organization professionally

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory/Leadership role with responsibility for a team of a minimum of 5 employees required

· Minimum 2 years in electrical equipment manufacturing experience is an asset

· Experience in project management and process improvement role considered an asset

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Working knowledge of OSHA legislation

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing – 5S and continuous improvement methodologies an asset

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Proficiency in using production and enterprise software, and reporting tools, and MS Office

Additional requirements:

· Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, conscientious, and accountable.

· Strong written and oral communication skills

· Ability to meet changing priorities to meet changing demands

· Ability to work within tight timelines and manage workload

· High attention to detail, accuracy and strong problem-solving ability

· Ability to foster collaboration among and across teams

· Must be open to continuous learning and constructive feedback

Working conditions:

· You must always wear PPE (hi-vis vest, safety boots, safety glasses)

· Working within a manufacturing shop

· Standing, walking and speaking for extended periods of time

· Ability to lift to 50lbs
