Job Title: Estimator – Concrete Construction

We’re looking for a skilled Concrete Estimator to join our team and play a key role in the success of our projects.

Position Overview

The Concrete Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing drawings and specifications, coordinating with vendors and subcontractors, and supporting the project management team from bid to completion. The ideal candidate has a strong background in concrete construction estimating, excellent analytical skills, and a deep understanding of construction methods and materials.

Key Responsibilities

Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Perform material take-offs, labor analysis, and equipment cost calculations for concrete-related scopes.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
Prepare bid proposals and supporting documentation for clients and general contractors.
Identify risk factors, price work accordingly, and suggest value engineering alternatives.
Work closely with project managers and superintendents to ensure estimates align with actual field conditions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market pricing, labor rates, and material costs.
Assist in the handoff of awarded projects to the operations team and provide ongoing cost analysis during construction.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of estimating experience in concrete construction (structural, flatwork, site concrete, etc.).
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Skills:
Strong knowledge of concrete materials, methods, and construction sequencing.
Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, Excel).
Strong analytical, math, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in both public and private bid markets.
Familiarity with project management software and digital takeoff tools.
Prior field experience in concrete construction or supervision.
