Full Job Description

Tax Credits & Incentives Associate:

As our Tax Credits & Incentives Associate, you’ll build the foundation for a successful career in cost segregation and R&D credits by learning alongside a skilled team of experts. You’re motivated by bringing order to complex information and getting the details right, knowing your accuracy drives real tax value for clients. Each engagement will give you a new chance to sharpen your skills as you prepare workpapers, organize client data, and support smooth delivery from start to finish. Join us at Haynie & Company as our Tax Credits & Incentives Associate, where your precision will help deliver measurable tax value for our clients.

What you’ll need to be our Tax Credits & Incentives Associate:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field OR equivalent experience
Previous experience in tax or accounting roles, preferably with exposure to cost segregation, fixed asset concepts, R&D credits, and/or incentive studies
Eager to learn and develop technical expertise for a successful career in tax credits and incentives
Ability to organize and manage detail-intensive data/files while following established processes
Technical verbal and written communication skills with close attention to detail
MS Suite proficiency, especially Excel

Target Compensation for this role is $65,000 to $75,000

What you’ll do as the Tax Credits & Incentives Associate:

Support cost segregation studies through property cost data preparation and documentation
Support R&D credit studies through project cost data preparation and documentation
Proactively gather, organize, and validate client data needed to support study completion
Ensure close coordination of workflows and documentation to meet engagement deadlines
Continuously learn and apply cost segregation and R&D credit rules through hands-on experience and collaboration with team members
