Full Job Description

Job Summary

Austin Intellectual Property law firm seeks paralegal with foreign patent prosecution experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, filing, prosecuting and maintaining all PCT and foreign patent applications/patents, docketing foreign patent mail, opening new matters, monitoring and updating attorney dockets daily, intake/auditing of transfer files and maintaining knowledge of latest foreign IP rules. Knowledge of CPI and/or Foundation IP docketing software a plus; strong communication and organizational skills required. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of three years of foreign patent paralegal experience. Our firm offers an excellent and flexible benefits plan.

Requirements

Paralegal certification or equivalent experience with a strong focus on intellectual property law.
Extensive experience supporting foreign patent and trademark filings.
Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines efficiently.
Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other relevant databases.
Experience working with document management systems; familiarity with legal administrative processes.
Knowledge of procedural law standards across various jurisdictions; ability to interpret complex legal documents accurately.
Strong organizational skills complemented by excellent proofreading, writing, and legal drafting abilities.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professional communication etiquette.
Prior experience supporting cases involving intellectual property is preferred.
Familiarity with patent law procedures experience is advantageous but not required.
