Superintendent – Utilities & Heavy Civil

Position Summary

Zoladz Construction Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to oversee daily field operations on utility and heavy civil projects. This leadership role is responsible for safety, production, quality, and coordination between the field and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily site operations and work sequencing
Lead foremen, crews, and subcontractors
Enforce OSHA, trench safety, traffic control, and environmental compliance
Coordinate inspections, testing, and utility tie-ins
Plan labor, equipment, and material needs
Maintain daily reports, photos, and site documentation
Communicate progress, issues, and risks to the Project Manager
Promote a professional, organized, and safe job site

Qualifications

Extensive experience in utilities and heavy civil construction
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
In-depth knowledge of OSHA and excavation safety standards
Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
