IT - Systems Analyst

Are you a highly skilled IT professional who thrives on solving complex technical challenges and maintaining mission-critical systems? We are seeking a IT - Systems Analyst to play a vital role in supporting the technology infrastructure that serves Kootenai County.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while contributing directly to the continuity, security, and efficiency of essential county services.

What You’ll Do:

Administer and maintain enterprise network, server, storage, and virtualization environments.
Manage Microsoft Active Directory architecture, security policies, and user access controls.
Support VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
Administer Storage Area Networks (SAN), RAID groups, LUN allocation, and shared storage environments.
Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systems.
Research, evaluate, and implement hardware and software solutions.
Lead technology projects from planning and design through implementation.
Analyze system requirements and develop cost-effective solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues.
Develop technical documentation, operating procedures, and training materials.
Assist with cybersecurity policy enforcement and network security initiatives.
Support remote connectivity for field personnel and mobile units.
Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate and optimize Microsoft environments.
Collaborate with vendors and manage equipment lifecycle planning.
Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and technology roadmap development.

Do you qualify?

Do you have a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a closely related field from a four-year college or university; or a minimum of eight years of experience and/or training directly related to the development, maintenance and support of enterprise networks, storage and servers?
Are you familiar with setup of maintenance of network and server infrastructure?
Are you able to write Power Shell scripts?
Are you familiar with current cyber-security concepts?

We are looking for candidates that:

Have specialized skills in supporting Microsoft based software systems and applications.
Can research and implement new or existing systems with little to no oversight.
Have great customer service and multi-tasking skills.
Have a working knowledge of local government and state of Idaho procedures and protocols.
