FlexTrades is hiring skilled Brazers to support the fabrication and installation of refrigeration and water subassemblies used in commercial HVAC equipment. This role involves working with copper tubing, specialty components, and large-diameter piping in a production environment.

Responsibilities
- Make and install refrigeration and water subassemblies for production units
- Cut, bend, and braze copper tubing and install refrigeration components
- Perform brazing on copper-to-copper, copper-to-stainless, and copper-to-brass joints using oxy-acetylene torches
- Work with piping ranging from 2 1/8” to 4”+ diameter
- Clean and prep materials prior to brazing
- Follow production schedules, BOMs, drawings, diagrams, ECNs, and work instructions
- Inspect materials and completed work for quality; resolve defects as needed
- Assist with pressure testing, evacuation, and system preparation
- Use hand tools, gauges, and torque equipment
- Install labels, perform basic checks on units, and maintain a clean work area
- Report material or process issues to leadership
Qualifications
- Experience brazing in a commercial or industrial setting
- Ability to braze large-diameter piping beyond residential applications
- Experience with oxy-acetylene torches and silver-based filler materials
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings (metric and standard)
- Familiarity with refrigeration or HVAC systems
- Understanding of heat control, joint preparation, and working with copper and mixed metals
- Knowledge of high-pressure systems and safe work practices
- Mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools
- Experience with pressure testing, evacuation, or refrigerant handling is a plus
- EPA 608 certification (Universal or Type II) is a plus
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $34/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
- Access to a full suite of benefits
- Travel Pay to and from the project
- Paid lodging (Single-Occupancy Hotel Room)
- Per diem ($45/day)
