Full Job Description

Tax Preparer III (Expert) - 4+ years of experience

Location: Onsite – Irving, Texas

This is a full-time, onsite position located at our Texas headquarters in Irving, TX 75062. In-person training is planned to begin in August 2026.

Role Overview

As a Tax Preparer III at TaxSolve Inc., you will play a critical role in preparing accurate federal and state tax returns and guiding clients through the tax process. You will handle high volumes of returns, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and provide responsive, client-centered service that aligns with our mission.

An effective, articulate communicator who is comfortable speaking with clients
Fully focused on our clients and does not moonlight

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
Review financial documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax regulations
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries and concerns
Utilize Intuit ProSeries software to manage client data and streamline the preparation process
File extensions for individuals and business entities during tax season
E-file tax returns through ProSeries and monitor filing status
Upload confirmation letters for both extension acceptance and e-file acceptance
Perform light office administrative tasks, such as receiving and forwarding mail

Qualifications & Experience

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, repetitive task environment
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to multitask while managing high volumes of tax files (at least 2000 returns per year)
Willingness to assist other team members when necessary
Intuit ProSeries experience (Required)
4+ years of personal income tax experience and working with tax/financial statements (Required)
Experience working at a tax resolution company (Required)
Bachelor’s degree (Required)
Experience working with Slack (Preferred)
Experience working with Google Workspace (Preferred)

Credentials

PTIN (Required)
Tax Preparation Certification (Preferred)
Enrolled Agent (Preferred)

English (Required)

Year-round work
Onsite at our Irving, TX headquarters (United States)
Working hours: 7:00am - 4:00pm, 8:00am - 5:00pm CST

Compensation Range

Starting from $37 per hour
