Tanner Autism Services of Colorado is looking to grow our team of caring and growth-minded people!

The Behavior Technician has the opportunity to inspire lifelong learning in their clients. We use cutting-edge strengths based approaches that make you feel good about what you're doing, and allow you to build yourself into the most well trained professional in the field. At TASC, we value continued learning, growth, and individual strengths.

Essential components of this position are listed below. Specific duties & responsibilities will vary depending upon client and consultant.

How You'll Grow as a Professional with us:

· Working with clients one on one, providing collaboratively created ABA intervention programs with children and adults in their homes, communities, schools, and our clinic in Windsor.

· Participate in introductory and ongoing training programs to make yourself marketable to the field's brightest minds. We want you to stay here and practice as long as you want to be in the field, and we'll do our best to make you want to as well, we hope, but if you choose to go on to bigger and better things, you'll get the foundation you need here!

· By observing and collecting in-the-moment data, you'll be able to learn how to track client progress (most of us love to see the data, too!).

· Assist in performing functional behavior assessments, language assessments, preference/reinforcer assessments, and/or ongoing assessments for clients. You won't be just doing your job, you'll be learning how to do your supervisor's job too so you can join them and grow!

· Maintain documentation demonstrating service provided: we minimize paperwork and streamlined it based on what we've learned in our combined 100 years of practice in varied arenas.

· In your weekly supervision meetings you'll be one on one with a BCBA to help you grow even more. You won't just be working with BCBAs with clients, you'll be working with them individually.

What will make you the ideal candidate?:

· Interact well with children and adults with varying backgrounds and abilities.

· Work cooperatively as a therapy team member.

· Work well independently.

· Available to work between 8:30am and 4:30pm

· Work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

· Lift 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time and excerpt moderate physical activity.

· Clearly define areas of personal growth with support

· Supporting yourself: participate in healthy self-advocacy if needs or expectations are not being met.

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age

Must have reliable transportation

Must be able to consistently work schedule

Preferred:

· Some experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.

· Behavioral intervention, counseling, or teaching experience preferred but this is an entry level position so we will teach you all you need to know!

· Experience working with children and/or adults with autism and related developmental disabilities is a MAJOR plus!

Education Experience:

· Have graduated from high school or earned a high school equivalency degree.

· Ability to complete all requirements outlined by the BACB to obtain and maintain RBT certification (if applicant decides to pursue certification)
