Full Job Description

As a Sonar Operator You Will Be Responsible For

Preparing equipment & work units for jobs.
Performing tool maintenance, pre-job and post- job tool checkout
Driving to and from customer location
Maintaining ELD/DOT records
Acquire and interpret field data
Rigging-up and rigging-down equipment at the well site
Pressure control operations
Completing job-related paperwork in a thorough manner
Works directly with Customer Representative on location
Promoting and maintaining good customer relations
Performing basic duties at the well site and at the shop
Ability to learn and operate the different tools and services that we offer our customers
Driving company vehicles in a safe manner while observing Company and government regulations
Participating in quality improvement efforts
Performs other related duties as required, or assigned

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job

Subject to “on call” hours 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Long work hours
Lifting, carrying, turning, squatting and moving with heavy loads
May be required to work out of town for extended periods.
Outdoor environment subject to temperature and weather change
Exposure to high pressure well bore environments

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience

Cased Hole or Open Hole Field Supervisor/Engineer
1-5 years of wireline experience
24 hr. radiation safety training
Manlift Certification
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Requirements:

Must have previous wireline experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have never been convicted of a felony
Possess a valid class A or B CDL
Must have not been cited for three (3) moving vehicle violations in the past 12 months
Must successfully complete a DOT Physical
Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening
Must pass background check
Must have a valid passport
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Socon is required
Relocate to Houston, Texas area

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
