General Job Description:

Managing a large docket of consumer debt litigation files across multiple jurisdictions, including coordinating with vendors, clients, and network attorneys to ensure timely case management, court compliance, and accurate documentation throughout the life of the case.

Key Specific Duties:

Review legal documents (summons, complaints, court notices, discovery, stipulations, and judgments) for key information such as filing deadlines, hearing dates, and creditor details.
Compile and review client financial information, account details, and hardship documentation provided by vendors to assist attorneys in evaluating defense or settlement options.
Update shared litigation calendars and internal systems to include important filing deadlines, answer deadlines, mediation dates, and hearings.
Notify network attorneys of newly assigned litigation cases and provide relevant documents, case summaries, and deadlines.
Coordinate and confirm attorney coverage for hearings through network counsel or approved coverage booking services.
Prepare, assemble, and submit responsive pleadings and other filings to the courthouse in accordance with jurisdictional requirements and court deadlines.
Provide case status updates, litigation milestones, and settlement updates to vendors and internal teams as required.
Monitor online case dockets, court portals, and incoming communications for updates such as hearing notices, rulings, continuances, and case status changes.
Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in the firm’s CRM and document management systems.
Assist with coordination of settlement documentation, stipulations, and related filings when cases are resolved.

How Success is Measured:

Efficient and accurate data entry.
Keeping up-to-date on email communications and voicemails.
Maintaining consistent and effective communications with network attorneys.
Drafting accurate documents with information from FileMaker and documents provided with referrals.
Staying up-to-date on all new events relating to active litigation cases.
Managing client entry, consultation scheduling, and delivery of documents in a timely manner with respect to court filing deadlines.
Assisting with identifying ways to continuously update and refine processes for increased efficiency and quality.

Desired Skills:

Ability to multi-task with a high-volume task list
Highly Detail Oriented
Experience handling a high volume of cases
Experience with state litigation, preferably, experience in handling multiple states at one time
Experience with creditor/debtor cases is a plus, not required
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred- not required
