Position Objective
Ensures the lending needs of the members and credit union are continuously met in an effective, profitable, and ethical manner.
Responsibilities
1. Assists members with the loan application process, interviews loan applicants in person, over the phone or electronically. Ensures completeness of information, obtains documentation relevant to the lending decision, effectively communicates loan decisions to members and staff.
2. Provides loan underwriters with full application analysis and provides recommendation when submitting loan applications for a final decision.
3. Reviews decisioned loan files to ensure the files are accurate, complete, decisioned soundly, and policies and procedures were appropriately applied.
4. Successfully completes loan closings while ensuring member services standards are met.
5. Prepares and files additional documents after disbursement, as needed.
6. Investigates missing, incomplete, or questionable loan information. Follows up with the proper individuals to ensure all information is verifiable and complete.
7. Assists the Consumer Loan Manager to administer the Indirect Loan program. Reviews and processes the incoming indirect loans within the established timeline and ensures they are accurately booked in Symitar and that all required tasks are completed efficiently, monitors that incoming applications assigned to other staff members are processed on time and accurately.
8. Completes the required KLA reports by the established monthly deadlines and shares it with the required parties. The reports include but are not limited to: The chargeback and delinquency monthly reports, the KLA volume and KLA Risk Quarterly Report.
9. Completes Consumer Loan Reviews within the established timelines to ensure accuracy and timely booking.
10. Assists with managing the credit union direct vehicle loan portfolio. Performs the Annual Paper Title Audit by the required deadline, manages the electronic titles by using the DealerTrack site, completes and manage the Missing Titles Report and the Expired Lien reports to ensure loan compliance. Completes any other vehicle title related tasks and is the main point of contact for any Incoming Letter of Guarantee Requests
11. Assists in coordinating and delivering loan training to other departments as requested and collaborate with the Consumer Loan Manager and other departments to ensure all consumer loan tasks are completed accurately, on time, and with minimal member impact.
12. Reviews and understands Hershey FCU’s lending policies, procedures, services, and products.
13. Assists the Consumer Loan Manager in maintaining a complete and accurate lending procedures manual, completes updates when necessary.
14. Has a full understanding of Hershey FCU’s Loan Rates structure. Assists in completing system rate changes and notifies staff of any rate changes.
15. Assists the Consumer Lending Manager to develop, complete and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual lending related reports.
16. Provides support for audits and examinations conducted by Supervisory Committee, outside firms and regulators, when necessary.
17. Effectively communicates with Consumer Loan Manager regarding lending updates, activities, and issues.
18. Assists in evaluating current lending programs, procedures, policies and technologies; recommends changes to enhance the financial well-being and service levels of Hershey FCU. Assists with implementation of any changes, including testing, training, and communication.
19. Assists the Consumer Loan manager in developing and implementing programs and promotions to increase the loan portfolio.
20. Collaborates effectively with team members and other credit union departments to maintain performance standards, including attending Branch Operations meetings, assisting with loan-related help desk tickets, and responding to Accounting Department inquiries.
21. Serves as a lending expert for consumer loan questions and requests, works closely with Front Line Operations Department staff to ensure member loan requests and questions are responded in a timely manner and accurately.
22. Registers with NMLS as and MLO to discuss and originate consumer real estate loan requests and completes the annual renewal requirements
23. Works closely with the Consumer Loan Manager to complete special projects related to consumer Lending.
24. Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all related policies, procedures, rules, and regulations applicable for the position, and keeps abreast of any changes.
25. Prevents controllable losses by strict adherence to security, compliance, and fraud & prevention policies and procedures.
26. Adheres to all policies and procedures described in the Employee Handbook.
27. Completes annual mandatory compliance and other training.
28. Provides additional support to all areas of the credit union, as necessary.
29. Assists with all other duties as required.
Qualifications
Education and Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in operational lending.

Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; and ratio, proportion, and percentage. Able to calculate percentages, fractions and decimals.
Physical Requirements:

Must be available and willing to travel to such locations and with such frequency as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet its business needs. Must possess sufficient manual dexterity to skillfully operate standard office equipment including but not limited to: a computer, typewriter, adding machine, facsimile machine, photocopier, and telephone. Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
