Keystone Foot & Ankle Associates is a dynamic and patient-centered podiatric practice dedicated to providing exceptional foot and ankle care. We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Podiatric Medical Assistant to join our team and support our mission of improving patient health and mobility.

SEEKING PART-TIME Podiatric Medical Assistant/Receptionist.* Willing to travel *between our 4 locations: Secane, Springfield, Darby, and Media,

Job Description:

The Podiatric Medical Assistant/Receptioninst will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic while providing outstanding care to our patients. Primary responsibilities include:

Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment, have good communication skills, knowledge of medical insurances including referrals.
Excellent experience with phone, computer systems and internet.
Insurance verification experience a must
Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.
Welcomes patients and visitors in person or on the telephone, and answers or referring inquiries.
Upon arrival, copy/scan the insurance card, ID, update any changes to patient registration and hand over necessary forms to be filled in by patients. Assist patients to understand new patient forms.
Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information.
Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
Checking out patients and creating follow up appointments, hand them any referrals, scan the scripts before giving them out to the patient & scan all necessary papers when the patient checks out.
Assisting the podiatrist during clinical procedures and treatments.
Preparing patients for exams by collecting medical histories, vitals, and relevant information.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
Managing and updating patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educating patients on proper foot care, treatments, and post-procedure care.
Assisting with minor surgical procedures and the application of dressings or orthotics as needed.

Qualifications:

Medical Assistant certification (preferred but not required).
Experience in a podiatric or medical office setting is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in medical software and office tools.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and care.
